Common Wasp (Vespulavulgaris)
The Wasp is very common throughout Britain and Northern Europe. They are social insects forming colonies inside nests specially constructed in soil banks, roof spaces and in cavities in trees and walls. They are frequently associated with domestic housing. Wasp nests are formed of paper (chewed wood) and may become very large in size
Wasp Removal & Wasp Nest Removal
Wasps are generally easy to control if access to the nest, or near to the nest area, can be gained. The main aim is to disable the nest by applying a residual insecticide to the nest entrance or nearby alighting area. Wasps entering the area should contact a dose of insecticide which will contaminate the inside of the nest, eventually proving fatal.
